I’m back in the studio again after my summer break. I spent three weeks eating, drinking, going to BBQs, bars and pubs; being with my family and close friends. I had an awesome time celebrating and I come back ready to make 2012 the best year yet.
You may have noticed that Hair Fairy Clips has had another makeover. My friend Scott Triffle designed my new blue logo, and I am in love with it. The fact that a friend (who I have know for 14 years) designed it makes it more special. My husband put in a lot of hard work changing from the old to the new theme. All I had to do was resize some images.
Just because it’s fun to look back and see how much Hair Fairy Clips has grown: I give you:

My one and only sister Megan, is a headband addicted! She has so many it would take hours to count them all. So when she asked me to make her a couple for a special event she has coming up, I jumped at the chance to be creative with dupioni silk fabric. Besides wool felt, it is the most beautiful textured fabric I have ever worked with but the most expensive.
My sister and I and very close with only 3 years age difference between us. She is my biggest cheer leader. The world is a better place with her in it.

I am back in the studio for the first time 2011, and it feels great to be creating hair clips again. I had a lovely break and enjoyed spending time celebrating Christmas and New Years with family and friends. I have lots of design ideas for the New Year and you’re going to love them. And with my youngest starting school this year, faster turnaround times for my handmade accessories.
It was Skye’s 4th birthday on 14th January. So I pulled out the sewing machine and made her a pink felt crown with flowers and hearts for her special day. Isn’t it pretty? And it was lots of fun to make.
My best friend recently got married in a beautiful garden in the city. I asked Eviegreenpixie design some unique dresses for my girls to wear and I made two lovely flower headbands to match. If you are ever in need of a custom headband design to match at outfit please send me an email I will be more than happy to create something wonderful.
New super stretchy crochet headbands allow you to turn any hair clips in your collection into a pretty headband. They are a must for baby and toddlers who don’t have enough hair to wear hair clips yet. Headbands are also awesome for older age groups too as you can see with my 3 year old and 11 year old daughters.
