Just a quick note to let you know that bulky post costs have changed today due to Australia Post increasing the price of Parcel post from $5 to $6.60.

I always try to keep the cost of shipping as low as I can. So I will not charge the cost of packaging for bulky items.

I hope to offer a pick up on Saturday’s option for local customers in May when I move into my new house.

I’m back in the studio again after my summer break. I spent three weeks eating, drinking, going to bbqs, bars and pubs; being with my family and close friends. I had an awesome time celebrating and I come back ready to make 2012 the best year yet.

You may have noticed that Hair Fairy Clips has had another makeover. My friend Scott Triffle designed my new blue logo, and I am in love with it. The fact that a friend (who I have know for 14 years) designed it makes it more special. My husband put in a lot of hard work changing from the old to the new theme. All I had to do was resize some images.

I was lucky enough to meet Patience from The Grates the Halloween gig at the Hi-Fi bar a couple of weeks ago. She is so lovely, warm, down to earth and the lead singer of one of my all time favourite bands. My awesome friend Leisha, attended the Ballarat and Geelong gigs too. I made some pretty hair clips that Leisha was kind enough to give to pass on to Patience from me. Patience is so sweet, she sent me a tweet telling me how gorgeous they were, and said she loved them! Leisha spotted her wearing them the next day too, which fills me with happiness.

Meet gorgeous Emilia, her lovely mum is quite the photographer and emailed me so many pictures it was hard to choose just two for my little blog post. I asked Tanya to tell me about Emilia and this is what she said.

“Emilia is a cheeky little girl, she is almost 2 and her Birthday is on 27th May she was born in 2008. She has a big sister Elyssa who is 9 1/2. They are very close, the poor little girl has two mums!!! She loves books, dolly’s, loves to dance, sing in her own babble and just loves drawing. Milly also loves to be outside. Her favorite word is “Why?” I am not sure if she knows what she is saying, but even though she doesn’t talk much yet, I am always asked “Why?”. Emilia is known most of the time as “Milly or Mimi”. She has rag curl hair and is truly our little princess. I am so blessed to have such beautiful girls."

I was so excited when this gorgeous fabric arrive this afternoon, I couldn’t wait to whip up a sample pair of button hair ties. I like them so much that I will be stealing a pair for myself.

The button hair ties are made using chocolate fabric with a cute bird print. The 2.8cm button is looped through a small black metal free hair tie. The colour of the birds may vary from the ones pictured (pink, orange, yellow, peach), but I assure you they will be just as cute.

“Ella absolutely loves playing with animals, whether is cats, dogs, rabbits, cows, sheep. It’s a special treat to take her to the baby animal farm. She is always carrying around her Upsy daisy doll, and loves to wear her upsy daisy pj’s and Dorothy the dinosaur dress. When I put these on she likes to give the clothes a “cuggle” (cuddle) as she says when she does it. Custard is her favorite food and she often asks for it “cucky” and also banana’s.
